Richard Washington III is moving from Assistant News Director in Charlotte, NC to News Director in Hartford, CT.

“This is a tremendous honor to have a seat at the table,” he said. “I know that I can help forge a path for people like me.”

According to the latest RTDNA/Newhouse School at Syracuse University Survey, “African American representation among local news directors dropped 1.6 percentage points and representation of Hispanic and/or Latino news directors was down 0.7 points.”
