What I’m learning about the new robotaxi company testing in DC, which could be Waymo’s competitor

You may have heard of Zoox on the West Coast, but you may have also noticed some of their branded vehicles testing in D.C. lately.

“As our first Mid-Atlantic testing location, D.C. presents a complex and unique street layout, along with seasonal weather challenges. The city’s street network includes many traffic circles, diagonal avenues, and high pedestrian and bicycle traffic,” a spokesperson stated in September.

Amazon acquired Zoox in 2020.
